Submission Preparation Checklist
All submissions must meet the following requirements.
- This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
- This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
- All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
- All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
- Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
Article
This section is intended for the publication of original and unpublished scientific articles related to the Humanities, with an emphasis on Law and legal studies. Submissions must be supported by appropriate theoretical and methodological foundations and may include empirical research, legal analyses, interdisciplinary studies, and discussions relevant to Law, Human Rights, Philosophy, History, Sociology, Political Science, Education, and related fields. Submitted manuscripts will be evaluated in accordance with the journal’s editorial policies and peer-review process.
Review Article
This section is intended for the publication of review articles that provide critical analysis, systematization, and in-depth discussion of the scientific literature related to the Humanities, with an emphasis on Law and legal studies. Submissions must demonstrate academic relevance, methodological clarity, up-to-date bibliographic coverage, and a meaningful contribution to understanding the state of the art on the topic addressed. Narrative, integrative, systematic, and other properly grounded types of review will be accepted.
Essay
This section is intended for the publication of academic essays that present critical reflections, theoretical interpretations, and argumentative discussions related to the Humanities, with an emphasis on Law and legal studies. Submissions must develop an original, coherent, and well-grounded approach, contributing to debates on legal, social, political, historical, philosophical, educational, and cultural issues. Theoretical, critical, interpretative, and interdisciplinary essays will be accepted.
Case Study
This section is intended for the publication of case studies examining concrete situations, institutional experiences, judicial decisions, professional practices, public policies, or social phenomena related to the Humanities, with an emphasis on Law and legal studies. Submissions must clearly define the case, provide appropriate theoretical and methodological grounding, critically analyze the data or documents used, and make a relevant contribution to understanding the topic under investigation. Single or multiple case studies using qualitative, quantitative, or interdisciplinary approaches will be accepted.
Review
This section is intended for the publication of critical reviews of books, edited volumes, documents, reports, academic works, and other publications relevant to the Humanities, with an emphasis on Law and legal studies. Reviews must clearly present the work under analysis, contextualize its academic contribution, discuss its main arguments, and provide a well-grounded critical assessment. Priority will be given to recent works or publications of recognized importance to legal, social, political, historical, philosophical, educational, and cultural fields.

By submitting a manuscript, the authors declare that the work is original, unpublished, and not under simultaneous consideration by another journal. The authors retain copyright over the work and grant Revista Ágora Latino-Americana the right of first publication.
Published works will be made available on an open-access basis, allowing their reading, sharing, and use in accordance with the terms of the license adopted by the journal, provided that appropriate credit is given to the authors and to the original publication.
