Scope of the Journal

Revista Ágora Latino-Americana is an interdisciplinary scholarly journal dedicated to publishing original and relevant studies in the Humanities, with an emphasis on Law and legal studies. The journal seeks to promote the production, circulation, and discussion of scientific knowledge, valuing research that contributes to a critical understanding of social, political, historical, educational, cultural, territorial, and institutional relations in Latin America and other international contexts.

The journal accepts original research articles, review articles, essays, case studies, and critical reviews. Submissions related to Law, Human Rights, Philosophy, History, Sociology, Political Science, Education, Geography, and Interdisciplinary Studies are welcome, including research that connects different fields of knowledge.

The journal encourages theoretical, empirical, comparative, historical, critical, and interdisciplinary approaches, as well as studies addressing public policies, citizenship, democracy, justice, institutions, social inequalities, regional development, the environment, culture, technology, education, and contemporary transformations.

Manuscripts may be submitted in Portuguese, Spanish, or English and must demonstrate academic relevance, theoretical and methodological consistency, clarity of presentation, and an effective contribution to the field of study. All submitted manuscripts undergo editorial screening and, when considered appropriate to the journal’s scope, are forwarded for peer review.

Revista Ágora Latino-Americana adopts an open-access approach, promoting the democratization of knowledge and dialogue among researchers, academics, students, professionals, and academic institutions from Latin America and other regions.
